Come meet and learn to print on Isabelle, our fully reconditioned Vandercook No.3 Proof Press. Izzy for short, is one of the most easy to use letterpress machines in our shop.

This class will show you how to set type on a flat bed press, adjust impression and packing and start pulling beautiful prints. Your instructor will guide you through your project as you set wood and metal type from our vast collection.

Create a unique letterpress composition and explore the many possibilities of combining lead and wood type to make artistic letterpress prints. Learn to lock-up posters, small broadsides, even greeting cards on the flat bed press.

This all day class is required before renting time on the Vandercook.
Prior typesetting experience preferred but not necessary for this class.
