Studio Rental*
You may rent the Dock 2 Letterpress print shop’s type and equipment for a full day (8 hours), a half day (4 hours) or in one hour increments. Our Introduction to Letterpress class qualifies you to rent time. If you have prior letterpress experience gained elsewhere you must complete our Training for Rental class.
Shop rental is by appointment only.
Rental time is available:
Monday – Friday 8 am to 5 pm
Saturdays 9 am to 6 pm.
Costs:
$25.00 / per hour
$80.00 / 4 hours
$160.00 / per day
*To rent studio time you must take our Intro to Letterpress class or show prior typesetting and letterpress printing experience and take our Training Class for Rentals.

Training Class for Rentals
Training includes review of safety rules, how to use the Nolan proof press, the proper lock-up of forms, wash-up, operation and maintenance of the specific press you wish to rent time on. Available for rental: Pilot Press(hand operated), Challenge Gordon(foot treadle), Vandercook Flatbed Press, and Wesel Iron Hand press.†
In order to rent, you must have completed either our Introductory Letterpress Class or have completed this training course with prior letterpress experience. Proof of prior letterpress experience necessary to take this rental training course.
6 hour class.
By Appointment: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
One 45 minute lunch break at noon.

† To rent time on the Wesel, you must complete the Poster Printing on the Wesel Iron Handpress class.
